Fan Finds Leaks on IPOD
«

Okay I dont know how many people now about this on this site, but a fan found some GnR songs on an IPOD at the local mall the other day. Well anyways, heres what Neemo said

anyonymous tip
the IPOD was meant as a promotional type thing and when it was set up the leaked versions of TWAT (6:01) and '06 Better (4:56) were put on it along with various other non-gnr songs....the person had no intent of starting crazy stuff and the store has been contacted to remove the tracks
please pass the info around and if staff of the different sites need to contact me i can give verifiction if they need it
neemo@rosesofvelvet.com
in the end these songs are the ones we already have *peace*

promotional for the sony store not for GnR....the person just happened to put gnr tracks on the IPOD so people could listen to it coulda been any band, but like the rest of us the person is a gnr fan, who attends these forums, and thought it would be cool to put the leaks on the IPOD for others to hear

As usual, I'm confused.? What exactly does somebody losing their iPod that happened to contain copies of some of the CD leaks have to do with the price of tea in China??
All us DLMF who own iPods probably have them on theirs.? So it ain't like this person was the source of the leaks.

As the story goes, the dude was walking around in a Sony store and just happened to notice that some unreleased GnR songs (the leaks) were on a display Ipod. He originally claimed that they were different versions than the ones we have already heard. Neemo apparently did some detective work and found out the whole story behind it.

apparently the ipod is on display at the store and person was asked to put songs on it for peopel to listen to and the person picked leaked gnr songs as a copuple tracks on there......
someone from cd.com (not the same person) happend to check the ipod out at that store and all kindsa crazy shit happened on various forums. conspiracy theories and what not
anyway the songs are gonna be reomoved from that display model...quite funny actually

Very clever to put unreleased unfinished leaks on display in a Sony store.
Why not download some movies and put them on display in the home cinema department?

Oh, okay.? Thanks for the explanation, Neemo.
I didn't know any of that was going on so, to me, it read like:
FAN LOSES iPOD ... CHINESE DEMOCRACY STARTS NOW!!!

anyway the person didnt mean any harm, never even thought people who heard it would give it a seconds thought, and feels very bad for any thing bad that it has caused..the songs are being removed from the ipod and the person is sorry for the uproar that has been caused on the forums cuz of it

Did people honestly believe these demo tracks on an ipod was part of the album promotion.
Of course, they were put there by a fan.

Whoever put those leaks on the IPod deserves to be fired!
Maybe more. Criminal prosecution perhaps. I'll bet if the FEDS check his home computer, they'd find he's been watching GNR YouTube videos too.

Nine Inch Nails leaked several songs from their new album on flash drives at shows, maybe some people though Axl would do one better and leave iPods instead!

It really not that hard to believe......some fan has just put them on his IPOD probably along with a heap of other tracks from variuos artists.
The same thing could be said about my IPOD if I lost it ....................
