you dont do it because its deceiving the fans. the way all tours work is that a band puts out their new cd and then tour shortly after its release under the name of the new album. besides people on this forum, if other see "chinese democracy tour" they would assume its out...thats very deceiving for people that dont live on gnr boards....
That's crap. Anyone who is familiar with "Chinese Democracy" isn't going to think that the album is out, or even on its way just because the tour carries the name (which isn't even a certainty in itself). Were there droves of fans running to the record stores in 2002 or 2006 expecting to find the album on the shelves? If GNR advertise the shows as "in support of their new album,
Chinese Democracy," when the album isn't near release that would be deception.
By your logic, we should all have been trying to buy a new GNR album called "Get In The Ring Motherfucker" back in 1991. We weren't. Why?
