Searched for a thread on these guys but couldn't see one (don't flame me)

Totally deserving I feel.

Sonically so much going on. The album 'Funeral' came out a couple of years back now but its one I keep going back to.
Best tracks - Wake Up, Rebellion (Lies)

New album out next year. Kinda sound like.........um I dont really know. Something new and different is what I think they sound like.

Wholeheartedly recommended.

Show your love/hate for them here!

I love the Arcade Fire.  Great lyrics and great music.  They have an earlier EP that shows where they were heading with Funeral.  Very underappreciated band.

I love em....can't wait for a new album.  I first heard about them from a blurb written by David Bowie proclaiming them as his favorite band out there.  So I checked them out and they definitely have some interesting music.  I still need to get that EP.

The E.P. isn't that great in my opinion, but it does show the potential that busted out in "Funeral".

There is a video on youtube of them performing Wake Up with David Bowie.

Looking forward to see what direction their next cd takes

So what's everyone think of "Neon Bible" so far?  It is really growing on me as of late...maybe not as forward as Funeral, but definitely wider. I just scored sold out tickets to the 5/9 performance at Radio City Music Hall for the High Line Festival which is going to be curated by Mr. David Bowie himself.  I'm pretty sure he'll make a guest appearance and play a few tunes with them so I'm pretty damned stoked.

Pretentious rock at it's worst.  I love and endorse most Canadian music and artists, but  I do not like these guys at all.

That's an amazing performance - thank you so much.

After the phenomenal Funeral just haven't been able to get into the newer stuff at all. Worth persevering?

I downloaded Funeral and I'm enjoying it. I like multi layered music. I like 'Haiti' those french lines are cool.

They are pretentious in a good way, I believe Chinese Democracy will be very similar on layers.

Neon  Bible is my favorite release so far this year. It is good from start to finish. Antichrist Television Blues is their best song to date.
