While not censorship, I find it disgusting how television movies have the aspect ratio ruined (thankfully TCM doesn't do this). Wide screen movies are shrunk down to full screen to fit on Joe 6 pack's TV, and Joe doesn't care about the lost footage, but I do! It makes movies look far less epic and less natural.
I was simply sick, literally, from looking at Lord of the Rings, or Blade Runner in full screen. I seriously had to stop before the movies were half over. That, along with commercial breaks, has pushed me away from TV movies forever. Well, except TCM. That's one of the few channels I respect.
Censorship often ruins a movie's message, like Robocop's satire of extreme violence and crime, but it's usually just annoying, and often funny. I don't care, since I watch all of my movies on DVD now. Chains like Blockbuster usually buy censored movies from 3rd parties. Yes, there is an entire censorship industry.
