Tentative. We are all stuck on that word. Basically, in this case, as fans we are to assume that tentative means ? "We're being given a lot of shit about not releasing the record, so we're going to throw out this date with no actual intentions of making it. So when it's quoted in the press, make sure you all get pissed off at the guys pointing out the obvious ? GNR still appears to be no closer to a release date ??than you do at us for saying something we had no actual intention of doing. Again."

Since the tentative release date, the only web updates we get from them is some high school shit about what some no-name opening band said about them that's wrong and some clarification on Better not being anything but a demo.

The music is good. Release it already!

I hate to say it, but that made a whole lot of sense.

It makes me wonder, though...I wonder what the reason is that we have'nt been given a new tentative date.  I wonder if it's because of all the crap they got for not reaching the first one.  Or, I wonder if it's because an actual, solid date is being ready to be given.  Alot of mystery right now, isn't there?

March 6th was tentative. Period. rant

I don't know English very well, and don't know what tentative means  rofl , so I thought that march 6th is The day.

Anyway, I've given up my hopes to see/hear this album any time soon. When it eventually comes out I just hope it will be worth all this waiting.  yes

I agree about giving up hopes to hear it anytime soon but at the same time knowing it'll be worth the wait.

I'm pretty confident in my English and I know what "tentative" means.

However, I also know what "minor additions" (Axl's letter) and "2-3 days left of work" (Merck's letter) both mean.

Guns N' Roses have redefined "minor additions" and "finishing touches". The media is redefining "tentative". Just sayin...

One of these days it will come out. Or it won't. Personally, I was thrilled with the tentative date and some official word being given. I understood they probably wouldn't make that date.

However, no other official word has been given since on the album. If there are delays, then let us know. Don't keep the fans ? who pay your paycheck by the way ? in the dark. GNR is lucky anyone even gives a shit anymore, they shouldn't play this game, because more people are starting to not care.

The media will have it out for Axl in the begining.  And to be honest he has earned that from the past.  But when they come around to his side and love this record, it will make that much more of an accomplishment.  You gotta have a thick skin to a GNR fan.  Who cares at this point about facts and truths.  They will be back.  They all will be back at some point.
