I can't speak for him, but I am only a SBD person for the most part. Since GN'R doesn't allow open taping, audience recorded copies of GN'R shows usually sound God-awful. Now, with a band that allows open taping like The Black Crowes, some of those AUD recordings sound as good as SBD because fans can bring pro equipment into shows with them.

So yes, in GN'R's case, if its not soundboard, its probably not going to be anything special.

There is an incomplete soundboard from 2006-06-02 Rock Am Ring and also 2 songs from 2006-06-11 Download Festival.

You can get the whole Download Festival show from Axl's monitor mix but the sound is garbage.  Also I believe there is an incomplete monitor mix from 2006-05-28 Rock In Rio V which sounds even worse.

There are really great audience recordings from 2006-06-17 Pannonia Fields, Austria and 2006-05-25 Madrid, Spain.  The setlists are nice and long at both these shows...

Go to http://www.newgnr.com/newgnr.html and scroll down to find a soundboard of KROQ Inland Invasion.
