Anyone familiar with this dark, pessimistic Anti-arms race themed blast from the past?
I came across this by sheer luck at google video:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2023790698427111488&q=threadsSo yeah, it's a "what would happen if" documentary/movie about a small English town and it's people who end up in the middle of nuclear holocaust of (very, very, very short) world war III and it's hell-ish, endless aftermath.
I feel kinda sorry for the people who are/were old enough to really understand something about the world they were living in during the cold war, when horrors like what's potrayed on this film weren't anywhere nearly as unlikely as they are now. It must have been scary as hell at times.
Anyways, it is very well done, realitic, touching and haunting piece of work. Think of it as a free movie. Er, enjoy!
