The fourth and last installment of guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak's (HALFORD, PAINMUSEUM, SEBASTIAN BACH) diary from SEBASTIAN BACH's tour with GUNS N' ROSES has been posted online at www.jacksonguitars.com. An excerpt follows:

"I have played four or five more shows on the off days from the GN'R tour as a solo artist, booked as 'Metal Mike' with the great help of my stage mate Bobby Jarzombek (HALFORD, ICED EARTH) on drums and Rob Deluca (SPREAD EAGLE) on bass. We delivered focused sets of instrumental metal. I have reworked some selections from the PAINMUSEUM releases and threw in a tiny bit of the HALFORD material. It was fun just to go nuts and shred! There will be more of that.

"OK, back to the tour. The Canadian shows were great, including the one in Calgary, the cowboy part of the country. Just like the hockey fans, Canadian rock crows can get pretty rowdy, and we have all loved that fact. One very interesting thing was the border crossing from the United States into Canada. When you have about eight tour buses full of rock and heavy metal people crossing over, the border officers have a field day. You name it ? bus searches, sniffing dogs, interviews ? all were implemented that day. But we made it. Coming back into the United States was no problem, and I must tell you that one of the U.S. officials threw a proud horns-up for us upon his exit from the bus. I thought it was great.

"The last three shows of the tour were in Los Angeles. Our shows went over very well and it?s always cool playing L.A., as you get to meet many of your favorite celebrities there. While it was nice to see Lindsay Lohan, plus Ron Jeremy and other various representatives of the porn industry there, I met one of my favorite comedians, Andrew Dice Clay. Hell yeah!

"To recap for you, the tour was amazing and it felt wonderful to reach over 700,000 people within two months. I felt that I grew as a musician and a performer, and I witnessed some of the best talent right before my eyes. And I believe that we made some news friends along the way. I know I have. Tour good-byes are hard ones, as you develop close bonds with everyone in such a short amount of time. The road really does become your second family out there. On the way back to the hotel I stopped by to check out Axl's 'Enzo' Ferrari. When they talk about super cars, this is the one. It is beyond amazing."

In related news, Metal Mike was one of recipients of the 2006 ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) "ASCAPlus" awards, a yearly award given to distinguished writers in the Popular Music Division.

That's what I was thinking. I had no idea Axl had an Enzo. Those cars are damned expensive.

unlike duff and slash and the rest, axl didn't blow all his cash on drugs and alcohol. as people close to the band have said in the past, axl was always the smart one with money.

The Enzo Ferrari is a 12-cylinder Ferrari supercar named after the company's founder, Enzo Ferrari. It was built in 2003 using Formula One technology, such as a carbon-fiber body, F1-style sequential shift transmission, and carbon-ceramic brake discs. Also used are technologies not allowed in F1 such as active aerodynamics. After a downforce of 775 kg (1709 lb) is reached at 300 km/h (186 mph) the rear wing is actuated by computer to maintain that downforce.

The Enzo's V12 engine is the first of a new generation for Ferrari. It is based on the architecture of the V8 found in sister-company Maserati's Quattroporte, using the same basic architecture and 104 mm bore spacing. This design will replace the former architectures seen in V12 and V8 engines used in most other contemporary Ferraris. The 2005 F430 is the second Ferrari to get a version of this new powerplant.

In 2004, Sports Car International named the Enzo Ferrari number three on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 2000s.

Every four years Ferrari plans on coming out with a new version of the Enzo (not necessarily being called the Enzo). The new model of the Enzo comes equipped with a carbon fiber front bumper, and instead of having mirrors it has cameras(the views are displayed on a navigation system in the center console.

Motor Trend Classic named the Enzo as number four in their list of the ten "Greatest Ferraris of all time".

Engine

The Enzo is a mid-engined car with a 43.9/56.1 front/rear weight distribution. The engine is Ferrari's F140 65? V12 with 4 valves per cylinder, dual overhead cams and variable valve timing. Bosch Motronic ME7 fuel injection is used and the engine is naturally aspirated. It displaces 5998 cm? (366 in?) and produces 485 kW (651 hp/660 PS) at 7800 rpm and 657 N?m (485 ft?lbf) at 5500 rpm. The redline is 8000 rpm.

The transmission is a 6-speed automated manual with paddles controlling an automated shifting and clutch mechanism, with LED lights on the steering wheel telling the driver when to change gears with a shift time of just 150 ms[1] . The Enzo uses 483 mm (19 in) wheels and has 381 mm (15 in) Brembo disc brakes.

Haha ... yeah right ... I'm pretty damn sure that Slash and Duff are obscenely rich too.  Don't be so quick to slag them for no reason in a thread that has nothing to do with them

Axl was smarter with money, but since when was Slash & Duff broke?  Shocked

i remember you as a sad, overly nostalgic and biased character so i won't take too much time replying to you, but know that people close to the band have said that especially slash has run out of money and in part this is why they are suing axl over bullshit claims. don't bother replying, as i won't read your reply. good day.

Yes, I'm sure Slash and Duff have plenty of money. My guess is that Axl has quite a bit more though, given that he pretty much stayed holed up in his mansion for about 5 or 6 years. He also does not have a wife or kids to provide for so he can afford to buy the same shit as the other two while still saving some of it since he's only buying things for himself. Either way though, all three of them are multi-millionaires for sure.

Not to mention that he recieves alot more royalties. 40% of 90 million records is a bit.

Well, since you WILL and ARE reading my reply right now, (just not admitting it), you're getting your facts wrong.  I'm not biased either way, as if you take all of my posts and read, you'll see that in many cases I have praised Axl and the new band.  I just know, unlike some, when NOT to suck his cock on a continuous basis, when he's wrong or has fucked up.  So get your facts right.  And that includes the thing about the old members being broke... since if they were broke, they'd not still own the shit they owned for all these years.  Before Velvet Revolver, they had to get by on something .... Get off your high horse and don't be such a prick.
