I think this album's really great to listen to.  Brings back some of that sleaze that was lost on the Illusion albums.  Great, bluesy, gritty rock n' roll.

I remember being so excited when I got it - and I remember being so dissapointed after listening to it

I recently threw it in and the only songs that did anything for me were Neither Can I, Lower, and the main riff in Beggars

Other than that it was pretty mediocre - in my humble opinion

i love this album - loved it when it came out - and still do.  Saw them live in 95 in Glasgow, would be amazing to find out if that got bootlegged at all.  they all performed so well, and Good to be Alive is one catchy mother of a song!

I think I must be about the only one to think that IFOCS AND ALG are awesome records!! Infact I'd listen to both Snakepit records before I'd listen to Contraband, not that I think Contraband aint a good record though!

Beggars and Hangers On is an awesome tune, I'm a bit of a slide guitar mark!  Cheesy

Hey man, you have taste in music!  ok (Although I think CB was good but not great.)

Slash should play slide guitar on the next VR album, too!
