I recall him telling the Manchester, England crowd this year that they kicked ass. (and they did Smiley )

His quote was more like, "You guys are an awesome fuckin' crowd." So maybe he enjoyed that show as a result. I know he says that at alot of shows, but Manchester really WAS one of the loudest and best crowds of the U.K. tour.

Axl mentioned a show in Colombia, probably in Bogota. It was in 1992 or 1993. It was special because in that country the single 'November Rain' had remained more than one year in the charts. And it started raining just when they played the song... Axl said in an interview (September 1993) that it was a very special moment. Smiley

I didn't even notice the one in sheffield...I was right at the front on the right hand side....I guess I was far too excited to even notice there was anyone else there! hihi

I am pretty sure May 12, 2006 Hammerstein show was important to him.  I think he even commented about it during the show.  It really marks the official comeback of GNR as I don't consider the 2002 tour important since Axl states he was pressured into doing it-

Yes, and you forgot to mention that the show in colombia, where it rained during November Rain, was in November

There is a short video clip of that, the outro, a pro shot DVD (I think its in one of the Sagisteph's compilations)

In Slane '92 Axl seemed happy to be playing in sunlight he and Slash commented on this saying it was like a bar of soap, 'Irish Spring'. It was a scorching hot day. He also mentioned that Paradise City could've been written about Ireland. Also when he played again in Ireland in 2006 it was really sunny and again he commented on it again, saying he normally comes out after dark or something. We don't normally get fantastic weather in Ireland so it was a blessing having GnR playing on two fabulous days.
