hmm, i think my favourites are:
1.rocket queen
2. coma
3. locomotive
4.estranged
i think the ending of RQ are among one of the greatest part of all songs ever, from about 3.26 into the song til the end..
in coma i think from 7.55 into the song till the end is the best starting from "but who am i to tell you that i've seen....." in locomotive i love the piano and "love's so strange" and estranged, well yeah great song and the end is also great. the blues ending is also good yes

I consider TWAT as one of the best GNR tracks of all eras, and its funny cause Im talking about a demo 128kbps mp3 file

Good, so I'm not the only one!  Once I started singing along to the demo, I realized that it was one of the best GNR tracks I'd ever heard.

Welcome to the Jungle with possibly the greatest intro opens up the album, and this masterpiece closes it.

Although I'd have to say that in the right mood, Coma has the best outro.

Agreed on both counts.  Right Next Door To Hell is an awesome opener, and Coma closes the album perfectly.

My favorite endings in no order:

Rocket Queen - There's a reason it's one of my favorite songs to sing.
Don't Damn Me - Slash's guitar work is amazing.
Coma - Every time I sing the "just to surviveeeee" part, I can't help but get choked up.
Locomotive - Love's so strange.  Grin
Breakdown - I've always liked the piano bit right before it ends.

Rocket Queen is probably my favourite GNR song, and the outro just makes it that much better.

Part of what makes Rocket Queen's outro so strong is how effictively it closes the album.  It's definitely one of the greatest final songs on any album.

Totally cool, I agree 100%. Funny too, because that part sounds a bit like Nirvana musically (4 chords).

You can argue that Rocket Queen has the greatest ending in the history of any song.? I SEE YOU STANDING, STANDING ALL ON YOUR OWN ITS SUCH A LONELY PLACE FOR YOU TO BE.? Then my favorite DON'T EVER LEAVE ME SAY YOU ALWAYS BE THERE ALL I WANTED WAS FOR YOU TO KNOW THAT I CARE.? With Slash and Izzy on guitar and Adler with the incredible drumming its just a masterpiece.

That's why it fits to be the last song to close the Appetite album. There'd be no other suitable way to do it. Just my two cents...

Almost all of the endings of the songs everyone mentioned has a very significant speed tempo reduction and have meaningful lyrics that sink into you. They basically grab you by the balls and won't let go until the song is done.  hihi
