From the boots ive heard the sounds seems to be a sht load better then it was in 2002. and absolutley flogs the sound in uyi era. For anyone that was at a show or 2 in 02 and again this year from memory does the sound seem to have improved?

That's not the reason though.
The 2002 sound/equipment was worse than 1992. There were just alot of fuck ups for some reason on the sound part.

I agree, in the shows i've seen so far the sound has improved since 2002 for sure. I think they are using better equipment. sometimes the sound is still kind of off but that is a problem with the sound people.

But yeah, I agree. Sound much better now than in 2002. Probably got something to do with the equipment and the crew, but I believe it's also due to the band being tighter.

That, and Axl is happier these days and really seems like he wants to be out there. That plays a huge part in his performance as well.

True.. like at Inland.. I have to use that as an example, as it's the only show I've seen since '91, but Axl says two things in the show that shows he was in a good mood.. "some guys hanging out in the parking lot.. I mean, how lucky can you get?" and "I see fire"..
Not upset or anything..

Who's In Charge of Sound for GN'R

It seems like GN'R tend to have to deal with sound problems quite a bit. Is it the way GN'R play or is it the sound guys? If it is the sound guys, why don't they change whoever is in charge?

Do most bands have the same frequency of issues with this?

It would be the sound guys to some extent but it may also be limited to what ever budget they have for the equipment. I am just purly speculating here of course. They do need to do something though. They should not be having htis many sound problems. If they are change out the equipment bring in new stuff. Who knows could also be cell phones are causing problems with the wireless equipment that would not surprise me either. Mabey they need to look at getting a cell killer that will just kill all cell phones from sending a signal durning the show.
