The buck stops here!

Anyone picked up this album yet?  I think it's great....definitely one of Willie's best works in a long long time.  It's got a great alt. country feel to it and Ryan & The Cardinals rip through some classic covers such as Gram Parson's $1000 Wedding and Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.  Willie and Ryan each wrote one original song for the album and a few others are old Willie songs rejuvenated.  Great album though.....the song Ryan wrote "Blue Hotel" is really kickass.  It's got the Cold Roses sound and feel to it.

It's really growing on me today.  Ryan produced the whole album and he and the Cardinals are the backing band on every song.  He does some backing vocals also.  Basically it sounds like what you'd think....Willie Nelson singing on a Ryan Adams tune.
