Im going to a GNR concert and will probably get floor tickets. Do you think a 10 year old would be fine because I assume were going to be packed like sardines and he wants to go badly but I not sure if he should. And one more thing what is general admission(GA)?

Is he a tough 10 year old? I'd probably just get seats... GA is general admission, meaning there's no reserved area, it's just an open floor. So maybe get a seat for him in the stands.

GA is genral admission...no assigned seat....usually standing. I was at the Hammerstein and seen a guy with a young kid...not sure how old, but he was youg. The kid didnt look like he was having a good time....it was very loud, he couldnt see over most people, and was getting shoved around most of the time.

I also wanted floor seats for Arco, but I'm taking my 14 year old cousin to the show, and I didnt want her around the chaos that usually occurs on the floor. So I settled for lower level instead. Its just a judgement call. If you want the kid to be subjected to some of the shit that happens, thats your decision. beer

I'd recommend enjoying the show from a 1st or 2nd level seat. ?He'll get a nice view and it isn't like he'll be sitting at any time during the show anyways! ? beer
enjoy. ?yes

No way. Go for seats. You want the kid to remember it as a god time not a scary time. ok

I agree with getting seats. The floor can be a mess. Bunch of hooligans out there.

my first ever floor concerts were at vegas, first night it was perfect...had all the room i needed and what not. sunday was a rougher crowd and there were some fights andi kept getting pushed a couple times. nothing TOO bad where i was but I'm sure there were mosh pits in other places.

I'm in basically the same boat. I'm 15, and am taking my 14 year old brother.. but he is pretty small, and not mature or anything, though he does love Guns. But, yeah... we'll be on the floor. Smiley

I am 26, and have seen Guns N Roses 4 times, the last time I saw them was in New York

You have to be aware of mosh pits which will break out

save yourself the trouble

get seats

Most people seem to be suggesting seats, and it is a decent recommendation, but one thing about GA to keep in mind is that there is always, ALWAYS room at the back. The front area near the stage is crowded as hell, but the crowd always thins out the further back you go, and there is always space at the back. Even at the Hammerstein, but especially in a hockey arena. They don't sell so many floors that the entire area is packed. So you can move around to a comfy spot. It's nice to have that freedom, but it's also nice to have a seat.
