I am not familiar with the history of this apparent drama, and have no desire to be.

However, what I am familiar with is action: anyone following the boards lately knows timebomb has shared dozens of shows over the past few months, many of which appear to have come at a personal expense to himself.

For this reason, I believe he deserves nothing less than our encouragement.... and thanks from the people who download the shows he posts.

Furthermore, I'll add that the people who accuse others of hoarding and shady trading/selling practices are the very ones who are most guilty of it themselves.

it's not important what audio extracting program and what converter is used to rip audio from CD-Audio and convert to FLAC, because it's digital and it's lossless respectively. so where's the problem?

it's not important what audio extracting program and what converter is used to rip audio from CD-Audio and convert to FLAC, because it's digital and it's lossless respectively. so where's the problem?

I think that EAC is technically the best program to rip CD audio.  It checks each little bit of data for errors...However I don't know how important it is for ripping from a gen1 CDR.

I have no problems at all with dbPoweramp, but Exact Audio Copy is clearly the best WAV encoder. It makes perfect clones.

What I really want to know is all the information behind a bootleg. Having an ''unknown'' lineage/source of a recording, IMHO, its like having nothing. All bootlegs should include lineage/source, fingerprints, EAC Log and a spectral analysis

I finally started downloading this this afternoon, but I found that it is mp3 sourced....  Now its not TB's fault as its a Silver and he didn't know, but this is exactly why having all the info above is a must...

I blame it on the people who press the damn things.

The thing is it sounds soooo good.

Are you sure? God damn it. I cant understand why thos fucking japanese companies make mp3 sourced cds if THEY HAVE real lossless sources to work with. I will check my files now, damn it.
