In serbian the biggest wekkly magazine "CKM",were interview with Flea from RHCP,and he did some gnr mention:

CKM:You like heavy metal
Flea:no I don't like heavy,except gunsnroses,these guys knowed what is rock and roll
CKM:So gunners brokedown,and you are still here
Flea:We haven'yt have Axl Rose(laufing),only kidding

does GNR sound like Iron Maiden or like Manowar to you Flea? damn these guys call everything that's too heavy for them "heavy metal" and they don't know shit about. then they start to like heavier music and start calling everything too heavy "death metal", again without any real knowledge of particular genres. DAMN

It's really, really annoying to see GN'R beeing called an "Heavy-Metal" band sometimes in the press. it's not even Metal, how could it be Heavy-Metal?
