I think you got screwed if you paid $100 for it.. I can get it for about $30 locally in a store.  I picked up a few copies of the illusion albums in the same format - I understand those are worth more now than AFD.

I think you only got screwed on the price. but for the CD its self it's a awsome quality purchase. But i haven't seen these in a store for MANY years. So if you don't mind paying that much for it, then just enjoy it.

Ya I think so! I got this together with both illusions from a local store years ago, when they were still on the MFSL catalog for about AUS$75 each. I picked up the version of Lies on ebay for about the same price a few years back.

As they have been out of print for several years they are getting harder to get now days.

If you are willing to spend the money they are well worth it, the sound on these MFSL discs is awesome.

I bought Use Your Illusion II at FYE for 25 dollars.  They also had Lies, but I couldn't justify the 50 dollars (at the time, I didn't know they would be worth money later on) and this was only like 5 years ago.

I personally didn't notice a sound difference, but then, I didn't even have the regular Illusion II CD at the time.  The thing got scratched after just a few plays.  It still plays, but I'm just saying that it seemed to scratch very easily.

I also love the way the case opens.  It's like a pop-up book so when you open it, the CD kind of lays itself out for you to pick up.

he might have paid too much is this was 1997, but it's not.  these cds have been out of print for a long time and when they are sealed the price seems to double.   a few years ago i bought uyi 1 which i luckily found at fye and i sold it the next week on ebay for $175.  a sealed version of appetite for $100 is a steal because i have seen them go for well over $200 in the past.
