This page has the KROQ interview with Axl from back in May. At the end of it, the host asked Axl if he could come into the Studio before the September Inland Invasion show and do an interview. Axl agreed and said that he'd like to bring the band along.

Hopefully this comes together while they're in LA.

Axl and the rest of the band should announce the album together. I think it would be a classy move if Axl let Tommy or Robin announce the actual release date in the interview.

That's a great thing THE BAND wil be there and not just Axl.? They have to show and proove they are A BAND and not only Axl's employees because unfortunately most of the time that's the impression they give even to their own fans. So it will be a good thing if it happens. For the last 10 years I think we've still never seen the new "band" together doing a radio show or giving interviews wich is pretty incredible.. it's not too late to start! lol? Cool

Psychologically, you could consider this a reunion tour because I`ve managed to find enough pieces of my mind in order to be with you here tonight - - Axl Rose, Chicago 2002

That would be awesome,  and if they announced the release as a band would definitely be a huge step.
