hard to believe but lets face it guns are back and well back. the european tour went very well and now dates are being added as they did in europe bit by bit. no need for a big announcment as this is gus and these dates will sell.

it feels so much better that a few years ago, axl can still do it and rock am ring shows it !

the european tour did go damn well considering no cd release. in the long run however they will need to announce and release cd for this to all work. i for one believe everything will fall into place very soon. there is no doubt that this is the best rock act out there................same as the late 80's, early nineties.  ok

They played to just over 700,000 people, that's another 300,000 they need to hit the 1 million mark. And since most of those people they played for were at festivals and most of GnRs up coming shows are there own, they won't be reaching 1 million for a little while more yet.

Well considering the venues's sizes, the fact that it was a two years Tour and shit it must be an impressive number ...

Well, here's what I've found on HTGTH main site :

During 1992 alone the band performed in front of 3,003,086 people.
The band played a total of 192 dates in 27 countries in support of their
"Use Your Illusion" albums - 110 in the States and 82 more all over the
world. Over seven million people had seen the band perform.

The UYI tour is still the biggest grossing tour by a rock act isn't it, so I imagine it would be a LOT of people!!!

The most impressive thing about that is that the shows were (for the majority) Guns N Roses solo shows and not festivals. Which is a pretty amazing amount of people going to see sololy guns n roses play.

I suppose even if they average only 10,000 a show, 30 shows would do it. The US tour would surely cover that before the end of the year.

Not bad for a year's work for a band that we've been starved of for years.

I don't think so. The Rolling Stone had the record since 94 or something (not a Stone fan so I don't know the exact date) I believe, but I think U2 just pulled ahead for their Vertigo Tour

let's face it, a lot of these people would have gone to the euro festivals even if GNR had not play so i don' t think it's a huge performance for them to have played in front of so many people.  A stadium tour such as the spring/summer 92 in Europe, that is impressive.

I disagree, I went to the Download Festival specifically for Guns N' Roses, and judging by the number of GN'R T-shirt wearers, so did a hell of a lot of other people.
