Bonuses with the Chinese Democracy Album?

i hope there's a bonus disc of some sort with it. maybe alternate versions/mixes of songs. a dvd of hammerstein would make a kickass bonus too

while i dont particularly require any bonus stuff with it, i think its a good idea to get more people to buy the disc rather than download it or whatever....

I think Dizzy said at one time that there were like 10 mixes of some songs floating around here and again. It'd be cool to get our hands on some of that.

I'd love a DVD with studio footage of the band recording the album that would be great!! Also alternate versions from over the years would be a bonus. And in the liner notes a description of who plays what/recording dates etc. Am I asking for too much?

i'm sure, that there will be at least 2 versions of the album. geffen/universal are going to try to make as much money as they can by squeezing us out.

maybe we get hammerstein as a bonus or the acoustic surprise-show from the uk.

but well, i dont think that there will be some kind of bonus... maybe the CD will become even more expensive. Even if its a "bonus"...

Unless they sound vastly diffrent to the originals, I would like it if they could release some of the alternative mixes for downloading a while after the album has been released.

Some kind of accompyaning booklet with interviews from the band would be cool. After all, Axl said all along CD is meant to have been a collaborative effort.

For sure, getting CD is long anticipated enough, we don't need any sort of bonuses at this time

Like others said, every bit of attention needs to be on the new material when the album comes out, so any bonus tracks, live tracks, extra cd, making of or anything like that can wait for the moment

and as i previously anticipated, they'd probably need a box set with bonus dvd to cover the making of chinese democracy, demos, outtakes, rehearsal recordings etc, along with a paperback book detailing the contributions, songwriting credits, sessions etc

Yeah, they always put bonus tracks, special digipack CD+DVD etc ... nowadays.

As you said it's one of the ways to keep people buying/fighting downloading.

they work on packages and what's in more.

I'm sure the japanese version of the CD will be loaded with a lot of bonuses ...

the CD alone would be great, but if I could 'choose' a bonus, it would be a live DVD.

Although, contrary to most people on here, it wouldn't be the Hammerstein shows, GnR got better and better as the tour went on, so I would have Manchester or the first Wembley date as the gig on the DVD.  Or as they've recorded most gigs, the best version of each song from the shows.
