I see what you're getting at.  John Lennon and Paul McCartney were fiercly competitive and it seemed to pay off for them.

This is making me think of Spinal Tap

When you have so many people in a band there's bound to be some rivalry.

I think its a wise move on Axls part to keep some distance from the band whilst touring. Obviously not too much!

Axl and Tommy because Tommy is also a rock star of considerable critical acclaim in his own right and is not affraid to stand up for himself.

Axl and Robin because I still believe that there might be some raw nerves left over from Robin's 1999 departure and the subsequent hiring of Buckethead, etc.

I don't think either of these are of Axl/Slash proportions yet though... and we should be grateful for that.

I dont see any rivalry within the current line up.  Everyone seems too get along more then fine, any minor occurences is just tough love!  Even Izzy seems to like the new gunners ok

There are no rivalries

And let's hope it remains that way.  Too much progress has been made in the past year, you know?  The last think I want to talk about - no, make that speculate about - is any tension, fictitious or otherwise - that might exist right now.

Bring on the U.S. tour, and put Democracy in my hands, thanks very much.   beer

I think it looked pretty obvious on stage that Robin has a problem with Ron.  There was no interaction between them at all, even though Ron kept walking over ot Robin and trying to rock out with him - Robin just walked off instantly every time.

I don't think the guys have anything against Ron but I could see Finck/Fortus thinking that a new guitar player wasn't necessary. That said, I'm sure they are over it now. Ron's a good addition to the band and Finck has come a long way to being that big guitar God that GNR needs

I dont know about a rivalry between the guitar players, there may be but even without speaking it they all know who the BOSS is and who has the last word.

I heard Brain had a serious meeting with Tommy where he indicated Chris Pittman was his 'mortal enemy' and that blood would be spilt before the issue was resolved.

I don't even know of the rivalries between those pairs..

having a right contestant who rivals you is not always a bad thing. by playing fair and square, You and the opponent can spur each other on to greater efforts.

I bet there is a neverending rivality between
each member and himself of yesterday.

Ron/Robin

There was a review from the acoustic show in London which suggested that the relationship between Robin and Ron was very cold.

Source?

What did it say about them?

Robin misses BH too sorely to accept Ron yet? Tongue  Guess it's a pure speculation on fans part again.

It is in the thread which covered the acoustic show.

Axl/Robin, of course.

two big egos and personalities.

i just hope Robin will manage worldwide success and fame.
Axl is now more mature so i don't see him in a megadiva role once again. he knows the game.
