Now when Axl and Izzy are friends again wouldn't it be cool if Axl had a guestspot on an Izzy soloalbum? Or maybe an whole album or ep doing some really stripped  down and acoustic stuff as a side project?

I think we will have an Axl/Izzy collabo on Chinese Democracy.

I dont think Izzy has lead any of his songwriting talents on Chinese Democracy, but I think it's more than safe to say that he's heard the entire album, or certainly close to the bulk of material they have recorded thus far.

Im sure Izzy's honest, and genuine opinion means alot more to Axl, than the bunch of "yes men" he's no doubt surrounded by.

Izzy also worked wit VR...meaning is Izzy's collaboration not just 'friendship' without having the need to stay?
I belive this...but I HOPE he'll stay....just like I hope there would be a reunion someday with slash + DUFF and yeah even Gilby!!!!! Matt or Steven, both are for me as good!

While I'm busy...why is there always some discussion about the guitar playeres like Bukethaed this and Ron that or Slash rules...whatever..but what about fucking DUFF!!! He was 100.000% fucking GN'R...anyhow maybe I hould better start another thread about htis  hihi , first a beer...jezus I need to go to bet..the last "DUVEL" (belgian ston beer) was to muvh  rofl  rofl  beer beer beer beer beer beer

Don't you think that you need somebody?

I think its interesting to note that Izzy had written more than ten songs when jamming with Velvet Revolver before Scott joined.  I remember Scott saying in an interview that none of that material really grabbed him, but music written after Izzy bailed was what he liked more and chose to write lyrics for.  Yet in a sort of reverse situation, there was that report that Axl tried to get the rights to an Izzy song (once identified as Down By the Sea), and Izzy refused.  With Izzy so active lately with gnr, could they have reconciled that situation?

Another idea:  Axl was once quoted as saying that Paul Huge/Tobias is a songwriting partner, but doesn't want to commit to full time membership and touring....   Hmmm, doesn't that sound like the perfect situation for Izzy?  Critics all seem to agree that Izzy's songs were among the best.  Write us some songs Izzy!!!!

Izzy could be a creative force ( guesting in concert, writing songs for GNR, even guesting on new studio material) while not having to commit to being a full time gunner again. Gives him the best of both worlds.

Of course if they ever do a sideprojet or if Axl guests on one of Izzys records I think it's essential Axl feels it's an "Izzy thing" so Axl don't feel it's his responsibility to make it "perfect". Just have fun, like You Gotta Move. One can only speculate but it sure feels like that was Izzys idea. If he just can make Axl feel relaxed like that it would be perfect beer

I just like to add it's just amazing to see Axl and Izzy feel joy together in a way they have never shown before and that so many people have talked about Axl and Slash being Jagger/Richards when I actually think Axl and Izzy are Lennon/McArtney peace

^ They all sound great Wink Especially his latest Like A Dog which is the most -GN'R like- sounding of all, pure hardrocking rock n' roll songs.
