I don't really follow much of the VR news , but is there an estimated time when the new album is going to be released?

Who knows at this point. They have 2 shows scheduled at the end of July. Matt said something about doing those as a break from recording and then going in and finishing it up.. I was really hoping by fall.

Yeah, let's have a VR/GNR record selling stand-off... Wink
Even if VR has the better album, GNR will win, so I don't think it's a good idea to let it coincide with CD. On the other hand, anyone who adjusts their own schedule on the count of CD supposedly comming out must be cuh-razy; so who nows...

I could care less who sells more albums..  Like you said it would be crazy to hold of on releasing an album because of Axl's album.. The Guns N' Roses name alone will sell more units than VR's next effort. I just want music sooner!

Doesn't really matter what its called as long as it is one brilliant album.
