VELVET REVOLVER To Play California's MID-STATE FAIR
 
According to SanLuisObispo.com, VELVET REVOLVER will join the lineup at the Mid-State Fair in San Luis Obispo, California on July 30, officials there announced Friday.

Tickets to see the group, which consists of former members of GUNS N' ROSES and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, will go on sale Thursday, June 15 at 10 a.m. Prices are $43, $35 and $25. To buy tickets, visit the fair box office, call 1-800-909-FAIR, or visit www.vallitix.com.

For more information about the fair line-up and a complete listing of the Budweiser Concert Series, visit www.midstatefair.com.

VELVET REVOLVER recently recorded a new song for the upcoming animated feature, "Monster House". The band's 2004 debut, "Contraband", was certified double-platinum for sales in excess of two million copies in the United States.

Why not?

The California Mid-State fair is a cool place for them to play. They get a lot of pretty big name acts there. It's not like they are playing a little county fair where the entertaiment is has beens!

Yeah, read the concert listing of all the acts they are getting and this is certainly not a backyard picnic. They have quite a few grammy winners on the roster.

Hopefully we will hear something new.  Like you said, probably just teh new movie song if that.. Who knows though, they could throw us a bone.
