AIM has always been my messenger of choice. MSN just isn't very great on macs. Same with Yahoo.
AIM rules!

The only instant messenger service I have used is MSN. Recently, I've had to re-boot my computer. Since this time, I haven't been able to use MSN. Some error message appears. Oh well... I never used MSN all that often any way. I prefer good ol' email or the telephone!

In Germany nearly everyone uses ICQ but I still think AIM is the best choice

yes, of course. Here in Germany most people don't even know what "AIM" is...sad
I think it's strange that ICQ is so popular here

Have you guys read up on the Office Communicator by Microsoft? Currently it's only available for businesses, but if it is ever made available to the public it is going to kick a**.

On AIM, you can have multiple user names and be signed in to all of them at the same time. Can you do that on MSN?
I was looking at it, but I couldn't find a way to do it. Am I missing something?

MSN is leagues ahead of AIM in every way, simple as that. there is not even a comparison, really.
if you don't have it, get it. AIM belongs in the stone age.

Yes. On Windows Live Messenger (or MSN 8.0) you're allowed to do that. Even on earlier versions I used to do that too, using MSN Loader.

i have it Mandy. i've had it since the first beta build and i think the current beta is probably the best they've ever done. i'm looking foward to the next version which will be the final it should have the yahoo compatibility. so you'll be able to talk to people on yahoo from msn.
