that would be a cool feature.. people tend to talk back in forth in threads so a chat room feature would be easier..

especially with all the tour dates coming up, people can get live updates durring the tour there.

Chat rooms have been suggested time and time again (just check the latest pages of this section), and the request has always been denied so far.
