Slash is never coming back, look at the facts.
? Why would Axl replace Robin Finck, a man that has been with Axl since this all started.? I can't see Axl telling Robin, after the years of practice, waiting, recording and bithcing that now all the songs he worked so hard on will be played by Slash.
Slash would never come back and play second fiddle to Robin, and with the recent hiring of Ron Thal, it is obvious that the new record has some extreme shredding guitar parts on it.? Which explains Buckethead.? Slash can't play shred guitar.
? Izzy may stop by for a song or two if we are lucky, but I doubt he would replace Fortus.? Izzy never liked touring.? Izzy always wanted to be a club band.? That was why he left, he was tired of the rock and roll circus.
? This is Guns N' Roses.? And that is OK.? It is also OK to want the old band back, but fact is times have changed and the direction is different.
? If everyone here is so "happy" with the new band and the new songs why are we all waiting for Axl to introduce Slash or Izzy??
? With that said if Slash came back (and if pigs could fly) it would be a grand thing.? But, to quickly kick Finck to the side after all the work, all the hours would be wrong.

Yeah I agree with you. Off course it would've been great if the old band comes back, but I don't think it will happen in near future. Axl won't fire this new band after all these years of workin' with CD, while Slash and others have talked shit about him most of the time.

But, in maybe 15-20 years, I think they can be goin' on a reunion tour, like for example Pink Floyd has done. But don't think the whole old-line up will be there then, kinda hard to see Steven play with Axl ever again..

You?ll find your inspiration,
To choose your steps, I won't regret

As long as Axl is out there, it doesn't really matter.

But look on the brightside, you always have another grand-slam album from Velvet Revolver to look forward to! hihi

What??? You mean Slash isn't in guns n roses anymore? When did this happen and why did no-one tell me? Hmm, I'v already asked for a ticket so I suppose I'll see this new bucket-fingers fella. What? you mean he's not there either?
On a serious note, I'm looking forward to hearing ron thal from what people are saying.

Also, I've noticed when old bands re-unite, it's not exactly like old friends coming back together to play some hits.? To me its more like they haven't had that much success on their own, they're not touring, the new music they put out isn't that good, money is getting thin ... all something along those lines.? With GNR it's different, they all made a shitload of AFD and UYI, those albums still sell and still get played all the time.? The old members (referring to Slash, Duff, and Sorum) now found some pretty decent success with VR, they're making good songs not great but good, they're touring, and have a pretty good following.? Axl has more money then any of them, isn't really that found of the old members, except for Izzy, has a bunch of songs that are fucking amazing, well atleast the ones we've heard anyway are, and is touring and playing the classics with some new stuff.? So there's no need for a re-union.? I could care less was VR does, but I would like to see GNR put out alot of new material and just keep touring.
