Axl should have just let them use the damn song.? no
They should have let him use the re-recorded version ok

Slash and Duff said no, that is why it was not used. Axl wanted to let the movie use the song just with the new band.

This is for BabyGorilla and the people like him.
Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

There was no reason for it to be rerecorded. Did those men go to their deaths listening to an AFD remake? Of course not. The book(and the film), were as accurate as possible. The filmakers wanted the song in the movie because it had significance. It was the last song these men ever heard. If Axl wants to release remakes, then try and release AFD vol.2. Dont try and play a fucking game over a very tragic day.

I saw the movie with 'Jungle' in it (long story), but I thought it was really cool. It really set the mood...

Funny how there's more GN'R in Velvet Revolver then there is in Guns N' Roses.

It would have been great if Slash and Duff allowed Axl to use a re-recorded version on the film. Just don't have it on the soundtrack cd.

I would like to hear that long story. If not willing to post it, send a PM.

it would have been bullshit

Like James stated, the song is perfect as it is and it would have been AFD rehash

Other than that, it would be historically inaccurate
