Look on the bright side, if he is not in gnr anymore that makes the Slash and Duff back in gnr rumor is true ok

true.? besides, we'd never know the truth anyway until we see the actual curtain drop at the first show.

I don't care who confirms what or who says who said what.? Fact is, management denied BH left and he left.?

Just wait and see folks Grin

Exactly... first show will be the official announcement few all issues with the band, release date, future, yadda yadda yadda.

Anyone on here can say, "yeah he's with GNR" and fact is NO ONE KNOWS EXCEPT for AXL.

AGAIN, remember BH scenario.

 ok

Noone knows except for Tommy. Axl may not even be aware of it..... Shocked No, seriously, I sincerely believe Tommy is still with Guns N Roses and I?m looking forward to seeing and hearing him play this summer. Don?t let me down, Tom.

Well, since Axl owns GNR name, I'd tend to think Axl knows who is in GNR.

Tommy is 100% with GnR.

If his schedule permits he will play with Soul Asylum.

But why base your schedule on Tommy Stinson.? So when they play and GNR is on tour - they will have 'Bass Player X' but when Tommy isn't on tour with GNR - they will use him?? Why bounce back and four like that?? Unless they won't tour when Tommy is on tour but what will be the point?

Look at Soul Asylum's tour dates. It is more than obvious that they are trying to accomodate Tommy's GnR activities.

But why would they accomodate Tommy when he could possibly be in GNR and all sorts of thing could happen.  Just does not make sense to accomodate someone when the person is not even an original member which in the long run with stunt their touring.

Soul Asylum's tour will not be that extensive, as I understand it. Probably just a few gigs here and there.

Zak Starkey toured with Oasis in 2005 as a touring drummer despite the fact that he was a full member of The Who. As a result The Who will release their album this year rather than last year. It is not a completely unique case and bear in mind that Soul Asylum's album hasn't got a release date set in stone to my knowledge.

Tommy loves the GnR gig. I'm sure Jarmo can tell you that from his meeting with him in 2004(?).

"In the Fall of 2005, Tommy Stinson (of The Replacements) joined Soul Asylum for a few shows in tribute to the late Karl Mueller. There has been much talk of a tour in support of the new album in 2006."

From the Soul Asylum entry on Wikipedia. I know that I've been criticizes for quoting from there but it is usually accurate. well, mostly. No reason why Tommy can't do both though, especially as theres people on here who have checked that the dates of the 2 bands do'nt clash

They do actually, now, clash. When the Soul Asylum dates were booked, they didn't. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I've been told that Soul Asylum are looking for a new bassist but Tommy would like to do the SA thing if possible. He is a workaholic when it comes to music. He always has a couple of projects on the go.

People, NO ONE ON HERE KNOWS. ?

DON'T SPECULATE AND SAY HE'S DEFINATELY IN GNR BECAUSE FACT IS SHIT CHANGES AND WE HAVE SILENCE AGAIN AND NO ONE KNOWS AND EVEN IF MANANAGEMENT DID KNOW THEY'D DENY IT. REMEMBER BH SCENARIO.

Tommy's whereabouts will be confirmed when GNR hit stage in RIO. ?

Then, we ALL will know who is currently in GNR.

Soul Asylum is playing a gig here in Mpls and they had an ad for it in the City Pages, local weekly, and Tommy was not in it, there was another guy in the background of the shot whom I'm assuming is the bassist.
