Fans would love it.  A lot of people like both Petty and GnR.  But it would never happen because of the egos involved.  Axl and Petty would never agree to open for someone else

i agree with that. also, demographics are too different for sure.. i doubt it would happen. i guess axl could jam with him though perhaps... but the bands touring together is VERY unlikely.
i always thought that pretty much only smaller bands will be opening for Guns from now on...

I could see Petty opening up for the real GNR in the summer of 2006 no prob.......but I'm putting my money on a 20th anniversy tour to be more likely. Mark my fucking words. Botaxl will need the cash by then.
