I've been informed that it could possibly be Asphalt Ballet.  I looked them up on Amazon and Crash Diet was on their '93 album Pets and claims axl sings duet on the song.  Does anyone know if Axl sings on this recording?  I'm listening and can't really tell.

Asphalt Ballet- it's on their album "Pigs". Axl isn't mentioned to appear on this album, I guess the singer just sounds like him.

Axl actually has cowriting credits on the album......and I'm 99% sure he's doing backing vocals on just the chorus part......listen closely...it's definitely him. ?But yeah on the liner notes it has Axl, Del James and West Arkeen's name on it.

I hear what you are daying about the chorus.? it's tough to tell.?

It's like in Don Henley's "I Will Not Go Quietly".......Axl's backing vocals on the chorus are a hell of a lot lower so they won't overshadow Henley's.  You can tell it's him on there a lot more.

It's Asphalt Ballet who has a cover version of Crash Diet. I think one of the bandmembers of A.B wrote Crash Diet with GNR, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, apparently Axl and the Asphalt Ballet singer wrote the song together.
