I say,

buy 'em both.

Playstation 3 doesn't come out until like August, and is going to be a damn steal.

I'm a huge Sony loyalist, but I've been thinking about getting a 360 lately ... especially when I saw this:

http://rsch1.ml.com/9093/24013/ds/276873_0.PDF

Which basically boils down to the PS3 costing around $800 at launch!   Shocked

Odds are I'll own both sooner or later, but I don't think I'll wait on PS3, especially considering Sony's track record of serious defects on their launch systems ... anyone remember how often people had PS2's with burned out lasers in the first year or so?

Yes, mods, I have noticed your fine work.  High Five!

I'm gonna hold out for the PS3, and i'm also gonna get the Revolution for sure.  In fact, i'll probably get that first, and get a PS3 a while later when all the good games are released.  The Revolution looks so cool, and it's a lot cheaper than the others.

I hear rumours of an updated version of FF7 for the PS3... drool

I had that problem with my first PS2. I had to send it out to get it fixed. I paid $120 to get it fixed but three months later, it started doing the same shit again. I just took it apart and cleaned it. Every few months or so I would have to that. I finally just gave up on that system when San Andreas wouldn't work and bought one of those slim ones.

Back on topic: I would buy an Xbox 360 for just Halo 3.
