i tried to like the song, i tried to like the video, but honestly imo they're a perfect fit for each other.  thin and meaningless.  chicks, cars, and guns?  seriously?  right in my sight?  surely we can come up with something a little more original and interesting in 2007.  i'm not asking for an epic masterpiece, but even for a fun rocker song and video, this is very, very corny and exploding with cliches.  if you really want chicks, cars, and guns you could at least TRY to do it in a slightly original or interesting way.

woah.. i'm glad that the "die-hard" vr fans also didn't like it. i thought that i was gonna be bashed a lot rofl

Have you read the vr fan board? They are all saying its brilliant and the "greatest video ive ever seen".? rofl rofl

now u guys know how funny u all sound when u guys say every single thing Axl and GNR do is the greatest thing ever and masterpieces etc etc.

Its good to be objective and keep perspective on things. ok

The thing with me is, I dont kiss anybodys ass or hang off anyone's nuts.

If GNR do a song I think sucks, I will tell u it sucks

If VR do something I think sucks I will tell u

Bon Jovi

Prince

Chili's

I dont idol worship and make every mediocre thing a band does seem amazing and great.

Bon Jovi's new video sucks

Prince's last album wasnt very good

This VR video sucks

and besides Madagascar I find most of the leaks to be good but not great.

I dont bullshit or hate, I just keep an open mind and give my honest opinions.

This VR video sucks, its corny and dumb and if u check my posts uwill see what a defender of VR i am but the truth is the truth and in my view the video is very bad.

D, I like your conviction.

The video is no SCOM or anything.  But, I have seen worse.  I like performance videos myself, like SCOM.  But, I am mainly happy to see VR back out there having fun and making music.

Come on Come In may be a be a better video.

Yeah, I just watched it and I'm not sure what to think of it really... nervous

There's some nice explosions and action scenes, but these guys shouldn't try to act, it just comes across so cheesy. They should just stick to playing music.

I have been hating on Every fuckin body lately but this is an honest opinion.

I absolutely love Velvet Revolver but this video is embarrassing.

I'm a big VR fan, but for the most part the band just look out of place trying to act. Even in Slash's scenes it looks as though he knows it's cheese... and they should've kept the camera on him for the whole solo!

This video is a joke  hihi  How lame...  Undecided

First minute was extremely bad, horrid camera work and you saw an angle of Scott gazing through his one-eye binocular WAY too many times and nothing really happens.

Gets better though, but still... meh.

GNR FOREVER!!!! AXL'S THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

« Reply #94 on: May 26, 2007, 11:44:50 PM »

i've been avoiding it cuz of all the negativity. but i figured i'd finally watch it.

wtf is the big deal. its not awesome but its not THAT bad. its okay i guess.

i think this whole thing was a perfect example of lofty expectations. I know Slash said it was great, which is no big surprise, but when he compared it to the Guns N' Roses trilogy i think people's expectations just skyrocketed. i just watched it for what it was, a fun video for a fun and rocking song.
