RECAP OF CHRIS JERICHO'S XM SATELLITE RADIO SHOW

1. Starts the show off with Helloween's "The King For A Thousand Years" and "Mrs. God".
2. Y2J says those 2 songs are from the "Keeper Of The 7 Keys Part 3:The Legacy" CD and says for those that're married, "Mrs. God" is what you call your wife, because that's what he does and says it's because it saves him hassles and problems. He says it's been 15 years since "Part 2" [Keeper Of The 7 Keys] came out and says 3 of the members of the band are no longer there with the exception of Mike Weikath and Markus Grosskopf from the original lineup. But then says he's honest by saying this is Helloween's best record in the last 15 years and says it's interesting for a band to take a concept like that and do a sequel record. He says we've seen that with King Diamond's "Abigail Part 2:The Return, The Revenge" and says Queensryche's currently finishing up on "Operation Mindcrime 2". He asks if doing a sequel to a record is a good idea, but says it's not just a sequel, it's a "Tree-quel" and a "3-quel" to the "Keeper Of The 7 Keys" story. He says lots of songs from "Part 3" were never concept records, so it's not like all of the songs matched or part of a certain story or theme. But thinks on this record, you have "The King For A Thousand Years" that kicks off the record and says it's cool because it's 14 minutes long in the classic vain of "Keeper Of The 7 Keys", which is the title track or "Halloween" and says both songs are 14 minutes long. He says it does have the Keeper feel to it with a little spoken word intro, by talking with the keeper. He then says on the song "Occasion Avenue" has some Mike Kiske song riffs and Kiske sings on this record, because the intro for "Occasion Avenue" has Andy Deris who's Helloween's new singer and going to the radio and listening to nothing but Helloween songs sung by Kiske & says it's a little bit of a ironic intro. He says it would've been cool if it had a couple of little themes like maybe some riffs from the older songs, intros or something to tie together better. He then says a lot of ways this record's "Keeper Of The 7 Keys Part 3" in name only & it's not like it's based on a certain concept. He says "Mrs. God" is a great track and says Deris' taken control of this band in regards to being the major song writer, singer and an all around hell of a guy. He says he had a chance to meet him in Atlanta a couple of years ago when Helloween played and it was during a snowstorm and Kiske had a hood on, a "took", a scarf and Y2J says he still rocked his socks off. He talks about liking Annihilator and mentions Manny who's Y2J's XM radio "love slave" gets mad at him, because he says he plays so much Annihilator, but says he has to because it's quality stuff. He says Annihilator's new record "Schizo Deluxe" came out with Jeff Waters going above and beyond the call of duty by putting his heaviest record by far in years and says it's very, very heavy. He says Waters' has a habit of doing lots of ballad, type songs and says you won't find any of those on this record and again says it's all heavy, heavy stuff. He then says Waters playing at the Road Runner Records' 20th or 25th anniversary in NYC in either 12/14 or 12/15 [NOTE FROM JEFF: It's the 25th anniversary on 12/15 at the Nokia Times Square and here's a Ticketmaster link for those interested: http://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/999850 ]. Anyhow, he says it'll be a star studded gallow with all the top bands from Road Runner over the last 20 years. He then mentions those to be there from Annihilator, Fear Factory, Machine Head, Slipknot and many others that've played with Road Runner over the years. He says he's heard special guests will be there with rumors of guys from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Andy Sneep who's a producer will be there and says it should be a heavy metal blast. He says Waters will be playing "Alison Hell" by Annihilator with guys from Fear Factory and Slipknot and it'll be an all star jam.

3. Plays Annihilator's "Maximum Satan" and Fear Factory's "Edgecrusher".

Y2J says "Edgecrusher" is a great funk, "future-istic", metal type song by Fear Factory and again says they'll be on the Road Runner show but without Dino Cazares who was their ex-guitar player due to a blood feud that's occurring. He then says Christian Olde Wolbers who's the ex bass player and now he's guitar player of Fear Factory and says that's weird when a bass player becomes a guitar player. He remembers when Blackie Lawless did that in W.A.S.P. and says others have done it also and feels maybe they get sick of playing bass and want to be upfront by playing solos and hanging out with chicks and says no one gives bass players any respect. He then says he should know, because he's a bass player and says no one cares about the poor bass player. He then says no one cares about the bass player in The Darkness and says no one knows who he is [NOTE FROM JEFF: I believe it's Frankie Poullain]. He says they know who Justin Hawkins is with the "cat suit" with big lips and says he looks like his friend "Ajax" in Calgary and says if Ajax's listening, he tells him that he looks like the lead singer of The Darkness. He says "Umm, new record" and then says he always hates it when he says "Umm" on the radio and says it makes him sound like an idiot. He then says to strike that from the record to anyone that's keeping notes, just strike that from the record. He mentions the new Darkness record "1 Way Ticket To Hell and Back" that came out a couple of weeks ago. He says it's funny when you listen to the record because the first Darkness record "Permission To Land" was a very AC/DC-Thin Lizzy type music and says this new record is not like that and says they've hooked up with Roy Thomas Baker who's famous for producing Queen. He says that's funny also, because there's lots of Queen similarities and Queen labels that're stuck on this band and mentions that even though they'll be only one Queen and one Freddy Mercury and says that's obvious that everyone knows that. But says this band's maturing and says the record's maturing with lots of crazy harmonies going on in the background with lots of harpsicords. He says it's not what you expect from The Darkness and says that's good because it'll give them career longevity. He says the record's not his favorite when he first heard it, but says he's been listening to it for the past couple of weeks and says it's now one of his favorite releases of the year. He says it's great to see the party rock vibe making a comeback and asks if anyone remembers bands like Warrant, Winger and Poison. He says he hasn't heard Poison in a while and wants to play some and says Poison's been touring for [as he says] "the last "Shoot" 8 years". He now sees that he can curse on XM and says "for the last "s***" 8 years" on the same record, but says they do have lots of great tracks that they can play and a little more obscure stuff and says he'd like to see that. He says he'd like to see a new Poison record with bands like The Darkness making a comeback and says people want to hear rock & roll that's fun. He says people don't want to sit around, look at their shoes and watch guys in their pajamas anymore and says they want "cat suits", chicks with big t*** that float around, fans want to hear some high singing and great guitar solos.

5. Plays The Darkness' "Is It Just Me?" and Poison's "Shut Up Make Love".

6. Y2J says he wants to keep the party vibe going, says he likes it and says there's lots of bands that've came out lately with that vibe. He mentions an example with Buckcherry came out like 5 or 6 years ago, fell to obscurity and now has reunited with a kick ass new record. He says Josh Todd's a crazy looking guy who he says looks like his friend Warren and says since he looks like Warren and his friend Ajax looks like Hawkins, he says he [Y2J] hangs out with unique, looking people. He says when Velvet Revolver first started, the singer of that band was Josh Todd. Then he says they went thru the lineup changes and ended up with Todd & [Scott] Weiland who ended up back in Buckcherry. He then says Buckcherry's one of those bands that's huge in Japan and says even though they have a good name here in the USA, but in Japan, they busted loose. He says he spends lots of time in Japan and always sees Buckcherry posters and records, Josh Todd posters everywhere and says people dugs this skinny little dude with tattoos everywhere and says chicks dig him and then says chicks dig himself as well. He says he wants to hear what Buckcherry's "Lit Up" is about and wonders if it's about the plight of the African-Abriginese? [that's what it sounded like] in the deserts of Napolo or is it all about going out and getting f****d up on cocaine?

7. Plays Buckcherry's "Lit Up" and "Crazy Bitch".

8. Y2J says "Crazy Bitch" is a smoking track and says we've all known some crazy bitches in our time and says that maybe they all need to get lip up on cocaine and lightin' the f*** up. He says it's good to see Buckcherry back in circulation and says that Buckcherry and The Darkness should go on tour together and says that would be a bad ass lineup. He thinks that maybe they should tour with Velvet Revolver and feels that would be a great triple lineup and says call Clear Channel and book the tour. He then says he heard an interview with Slash recently on Los Angeles' KLOS and says it's a good station, but not as good as XM 41 and says after hearing the interview, he'd like to hang out with Slash. He says that Slash looks like a real cool guy who you'd like to sit and have a beer with him and say hi how are you doing, love your guitar playing and what's the deal with the top hat. He says Slash was talking about Velvet Revolver and how they matured and Y2J says it's always cool to hear a band's second record when they're a supergroup. He mentions as an example Audioslave and says their new record is much better then their first and they're both great records, but says they've had a chance to gel now at this point. He says you have 2 bands that're converging as well as Rage Against The Machine, Soundgarden's Chris Cornell and says they all have their own ways of doing things. He says they put it together and says it's like being married to your second wife when you're used to your first wife that does things, you're looking for a change but not really gelling for the first little bit. He says that's the same with Velvet Revolver and says he's looking forward to hearing the their second record and feels that it'll be great and says their first record was also great, but says they now have a chance to know each other as guys as well as bandmates and says they'll put out some "Shiznit". He says the first Velvet Revolver record's very good and says he's surprise as to how huge they were because they play in arenas like Tampa's Ice Palace and it almost sold out with 9 to 10,000 fans which is almost a sellout and says it's a little more than what bands are doing. He says he didn't expect their name value to be huge, but says it shows the good will surrounding Guns N Roses and people loved that band. He says he loves Guns N Roses, but wasn't much of a Stone Temple Pilots fan, but says they were big as well. He then says that Guns N Roses was so awesome and calls them the Rolling Stones of our generation if they held it together a little bit more. He says Slash said "F*** it, I'm gonna go on and form another platinum selling band, do a sellout tour and Axl can reside in his "Where Are They Now" file". He says Velvet Revolver and himself have two things in common. He says the first is that he and them like to wear top hats and claims that he's wearing one now and the second is that both he and Velvet Revolver likes to do this for the kids. He says that's it for this week and says we're gonna explore the term of rock & roll and he's doing it for the kids.

Fozzy's got 3 albums.  The first 2 have mostly covers on them along with a few originals.  The first 2 albums are awesome.  The third album is all original songs, but its not that good.

buckcherry would be an awesome band to open for velvet revolver, ive seen them play the last 3 weeks at the whisky
