which would you say had more of an impact at the polls?? Was it more like without george we might get killed by terrorists or was it more no gay marriages or religion? I am sorry to bring up such an old topic.. Just wondering what happened to all the color code warning we use to get befopre the election.. I personally feel many people voted because they were afraid of another 9-11 and that ONLY dubbya could possibly protect us otherwise we would all be dead..

It doesn't have to be some huge debate I only wanted to hear what people belived now a year later when they look back..

I would say the latter...I never thought of George as a protector... just the son of a wealthy family,  basically with bad public speaking behavior and a habit of pouting during debates...

Without a doubt...both.

You had a certain population (here included that even said so) that felt that gay marriage was actually an important issue to this country.

While you also had a large group of people who believed that Saddam had something to do with 9-11 (Fox aided in this) and voted on that.

Either way, a large population of easily swayed, not too intelligent people.

Fear without a doubt, People were scared not to vote Bush back as president and no offense SLC but Kerry's flip flop flip floppin didnt help.

Bush and the republicans did an amazing job of scaring the shit out of people, just like with that stupid Terror Level Alert thing.

If i had a dollar for everytime that damn level has been upped, my great great grandchildren wouldnt have to worry bout working.

That is a tool to scare people and Sadly it worked perfectly.

very true.. I remember about 2 months ago there were reports that there might be bombs set off in the nyc subways, yet the color warning never went up.. Seemed like it was a great tool to keep people scared before the 2004 election..
