Queens classic, Bohemian Rhapsody was released 31.10.1975. Happy 30th anniversary!

"The immortal, operatically styled single, Bohemian Rhapsody, was released in 1975 and topped the UK charts for 9 weeks. A song that EMI didn?t want to release due to its length and unusual style, but which Freddie insisted had hit potential, became a classic."

One of the best songs ever! And the multitude of styles combined in just this one song makes it very special, if not unique

Overrated. Queen peaked with Queen II and had only a few decent songs after that. Better to burn out than fade away, I guess.

Wrong and mistaken, Bohemian is perhaps one of the greatest songs ever created, perhaps you haven't heard queen but just listen to it.

Happy 30th aniversary.  ok

Party on Garth.

The Propthet's Song is the best song on A Night At The Opera. The middle section is one of the coolest things Queen ever did. As for Queen II, it has songs like 7 Seas of Rhye, Ogre Battle, March of the Black Queen, man, every song on there slays! Except Father to Son is a little slow. But it's easily their best.

"Better to burn out than fade away" is found in the song Don't Lose Your Head. Queen apparently agree with me, since they became a "singles" band after Queen II. They have so many skippable tracks after that point. Bohemian Rhapsody is one of those singles that gets attention, but it's not even the band's best song, not even the best on that album. It's a good 4/5 song, but it's not the 11/5 people seem to think it is. Wink

I've heard every Queen album except the silly Flash Gordon soundtrack and Jazz. I know what I'm talking about.

Dude you are missing a great album such as Jazz, once I told a friend that it reminds me another album, guess what album (Appetite For Destruction).
Agree on Prophet song, actually is one of my favourites of Queen with the frick of wrist. I don't think they are just single after queen II, remeber they also did News of the world, ok they have we will rock you and champions over there, but the album has strong songs like fight from the inside and a blues type like Sleeping on the sidewalk which is great and a bolero kinda song like Who needs you, it's great album and better than Queen II.

Definitely one of the all-time great rock songs.  Everybody knows it, and damn near everybody loves it.  Its a perfect mix of a heartfelt ballad and a kickass rocker with killer guitar work.  And of course Wayne's World has made it so everyone is legally obligated to bang there head once the fast part hits.
