I'm thinking of getting my PS2 chipped but I know very little about it. I dont fancy having to do any soldering myself and i was wondering how much it usually costs for someone to do it for you. I dont condone piracy but there are several games that i want for my ps2 that havent been released in the uk, and sony can suck my balls if they think im buying an american ps2 as well as my uk one. p.s. if anyone lives in manchester, england and knows where to get it done could u let me know  |

I can't remember the site tight now , I'll ask my friend who does though and I'll post a link for you. Don't spend any money on that, the PS3 will be out soon. So far I really would recomed any of the next gen system . |

ps3 doesn't come out till spring 2006.
He wanting te get a chip so he can play inported games .
besides it will take atleast 6 months for the next gen system to get a killer game out.

I always thought Sony promotes in a way the chipped trend of Playstation. Sony cares more on Playstation sales, than the games' sales in my opinion. Ain't really bad that, except from the game developers though  |

ps3 might not even come out in 2006. they're waiting to see how the xbox360 is gonna do.
about the chip, can't you find a local game shop that can do it for you ?

I wouldnt really go through the hastles of a Mod chip, or even a PS3 since the X-box 360 is gunna pretty much crucify all other systems.
