people are like axl walked off stage and caused a riot what a dick. i dont blame axl for those riots. i think the crowd were just stupid fucks. "axl walked off lets trash the place" very mature
. omg so thats a waste of what $100 or less so its not like u payed $1000 for the ticket. at least u got to see axl sing a couple of songs. not many people would have the courage to even sing in front of 10000 people i wouldnt.

It's hard to say who is at fault here, I one hand I can see where Axl is coming from like at St. Louis the guy taking pics and security doing nothing, I bet if they didn't riot he would have been back out on stage after a few minutes but at the Metallica show, he stoppped because he didn't like the way he sounded...that kinda isn't right, I love Axl but he should have just kept going during that show but maybe if the crowd didn't riot again he might have been back out on stage after he cooled down or just to think about it for a sec like, ahh, I'll just go back on.

While the riots are not completely whaxl's fault since he did not actually partake in the rioting itself, he certainly played a leading role in all four. What did he really think would happen at Philly when thousands of people pay mucho dinero to see fake GNR, get drunk sitting through shithole opening bands, then wait forever only to be told the show is over, axl's watching basketball, go home. WTF did he think would happen? Or in Vancouver when he gets 9,000 people waiting for the doors to open, only to tell the crowd that there's no show, go home. botaxl's a retard, these are HIS gigs these riots are occuring at & it's obviously due to his behavior, so anyone who thinks he isn't the least bit responsible is ignorant.
Basically, if axl bothers to showup & does the job he's paid to do, there's no problems.

Riots are js opportunism at its worst, u cant blame one man for what thousands of assholes are doing. However I do think that whole "Not being able to hear himself" in the Toronto Metallica riot was a bit shady. But I wasnt there so I wouldnt know.

i saw a clip of the metallica/gnr riot on behind the music and axls voice sounded terrible. he couldnt get it high at all. he prolly felt pretty embarassed and thought evry1 was laughing at him so i can understand him for walking off. it didnt sound like axl at all. wouldnt u get scared when one day your voice is the coolest in the world and the next day u cant sing. i wouldnt have cared if he kept going even though he sounded bad. as long as u have slash, duff etc

My take on this comes down to a legal one...you're booked to do a show, you sign a contract...you Do a show...if there's a dude with a camera, you have the right to stop the show until security gets their shit together...at that point, I believe the majority of the crowd would probably push Mr. Shutterbug to the front of the stage...you have to remember, the corporations who put on these shows also sell alcohol...you know alcohol turns everybody into assholes...some folks choose to have no control and\or are incapable of self control and it only takes a few of those in a crowd...but I agree that riots are stupid...and though unpopular I think that some of the actions of Axl do not help the situation, but rather help to ignite the stupidity...when you're on tour, it's not about you, it's about the fans that buy your records, T shirts, DVDs, concert tickets, that will go to sometimes very expensive lenghts to hear your music, that will go online and defend you and promote you and say nice things about you even if you are acting like a bit a jerk...it's about saying THANK YOU...
Just my two cents.

I can defintely appreciate Axl wanting to sound his best and with his attitude towards being %100, I can understand why he ended the show. But, given the situation, if they just kept going, maybe tell the guys to play in a lower key for some of the songs maybe he could have pulled it off. The crowd was already upset about Metallica's mishap so that riot could have been avoided has GNR completed the concert. But ofcourse we as fans and even if the fans of Metallica wasn't die hard GNR fans would have enjoyed the show. I do agree with NoOneSpecial, I think at times professionalism has to take over and you must keep the show going regardless of whether you think you sound bad or not, these people did pay money to see you and do support your band and all. I will say, rioting is more so the crowds fault than anything else. You can be mad as hell no need to riot.
