I did not post in that thread now did I? So what is your point?

Point being, I start positive threads regarding Tommy/Axl/GNR as well, counterpunching your "yet when Axl is bashed on some shitty show you are always first in line to report it over here" comment.

I'm an equal opportunity poster..

I don't live on these boards like you do...

Your post count doesn't coincide with your claim..

I have been posting less and less on these boards. I have been busy around this time every year.

I could say something like "I realize you're busy, the neighborhood kids in Southie's demand for ice cream grow exponentially in the summer months." But I won't..

. So please next time think before you post, so that you have a point to your ramblings.

The point is as it was, Axl got hammered on a nationally syndicated radio show that reaches millions of people.? Not that tough to comprehend..

But like I said it does not matter how many people his show reaches, Jim Rome sucks...

If you're not into insightful commentary on subjects ranging from sports and current events to music and pop culture, I suppose Jim and his show do in fact "suck" then..

Back to topic...again..

I'll pose this question, is anyone surprised about the continued negative public perception of present day Axl?

Falcon you are the one who keeps dragging this off topic. So why dont you just keep it ON topic. Thank you. I know you crave all the attention but I know a way to stop it. I am just going to ignore your little comments. So have a nice time in the rest of this thread, try not to drag it down like you do every other thread.

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

Dave Gnr2k12 -

That 'shitty' little show has more listeners than Axl at this point.? I'm no Rhome fan but millions tune in on a daily basis.? Axl and the fake GnR couldn't draw 20,000 at most arenas.? But fear not - I'm sure CD will be out by the turn of next century.

Gnr did in the major markets like Boston, NY, Philly (even though it go cancelled) etc etc.? Like I said before. Gnr sold a lot of tix for a band with no new album in site at the time and no promotion for the tour. The funny thing is they out sold ticket wise VR, so what do you have to say about that? Or what about the GHs selling 6 million or so world wide? The fact is they are still talking about Axl, and he is not in the spotlight so what does that tell you? You really think is Slash or Weiland was out of the spotlight that some random people on the radio would be talking about them? I don't think so.

Also, Rome is a joke; most people hate him (any knowledgeable sports fan).

1. Fake GnR couldn't even sell half the tix for Los Angeles, his hometown, before it was canceled.
2. Outsold VR? How is this possible? GnR played like 20 dates and maybe 1/3 were sell outs. VR played a world wide tour.
3. You think it's big that they sold a lot of tix for a band with no new album? Ever heard of: The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Steve Miller Band, etc, etc, etc. Lots of artists tour without new material and sell out.  They also show up on time or show up at all.
4. Yes, GH's sold a  lot. And it was the Greatest Hits of Guns n Roses, not the GH of Axl or a crew or rented musicians.
5. people talk about osama bin laden, jeffrey dahmer, hitler, and charles manson too. Not necessarily good to be talked about when the topic is all negative.
6. Pay up. Album didn't come out in 2003 (or 04 for that matter). Welcher.

Falcon you are the one who keeps dragging this off topic. So why dont you just keep it ON topic...

Here's where the topic originally strayed, the beginning of the inevitable debunking...

... I think its funny if someone bad mouthed slash on a show and I went to the VR board and reported that you would be first in line to bash me for it, yet when Axl is bashed on some shitty show you are always first in line to report it over here.? ? ok

And now more phsychoanalysis, this just gets better and better.. rofl

I know you crave all the attention...

Anyway...

Is commentary like this expected, deserved or as Jarmo suggested, good PR?

Probably a bit of the three I suppose...

Solid points, all of which I suppose contribute to the negative perception talked about on shows such as Rome, Conan, SNL et al.

6. .... Welcher.

Damn, that may even be worse than hypocrite..
