"You're an idiot"

« on: August 10, 2005, 05:03:20 AM »

According to the Hollywood Reporter, a proposed reality show set at a Manhattan rock 'n' roll club co-owned by two members of Grammy-winning rock group VELVET REVOLVER is drawing interest from several cable networks, sources said.

Original Media, the company behind the tattoo reality show "Miami Ink", is shopping around "Snitch", which takes place at a New York venue of the same name and follows the workers, from the bouncers to the bartenders. Each episode would also feature a musical guest who would appear and perform on the show.

VELVET REVOLVER, whose singer Scott Weiland and bassist Duff McKagan, are among the investors, have helped make Snitch a popular postconcert haunt for the hard-rock subculture. Other regulars include SUM 41 and CYPRESS HILL.

hmmm, it may turn out to be cool, but only if members of VR and their friends appear as well as the regular staff from time to time..

This could turn out to be a good move for Duff and Scott simply by raising the clubs profile.

Pesonally, Im completely disinterested in reality television and would that the guys roles on the show would be minimal/behind-the-scenes.

i think we'll have to give upthe term reality-tv , because that's all what is on tv now.
we will have to point out shows that are NOT reality tv ...

well i dont know. i really can't see how it can be interesting .. fake people, fake bartender, fake bouncers .... to fit the stories the writers want for the show ... fake fake fake fake ;d

You know, that could probably be used to pitch a new sitcom or something.  They can promote it as not being a reality TV show.

Sitcoms have bored me for years, so i like many reality shows on TV. Not the cheap ones like "American Chopper", but lots of other reality shows are well done. For me...the less "theme" involved the better.

The theme involving a club sounds more interesting that all the tattoo reality shows that have just come out.

I am sure it would do well for the bar but i highly doubt Scott and Duff would be regulars on the show, atleast i hope they wouldn't whore themselves out for reality tv. I absolutely despise reality tv after watching a few episodes of the Osbourne's. Sharon and those spoiled brats of her's especially Kelly literally made me sick. I will admit Ozzy was entertaining.
