Downloading and Playing Torrents

Whats Up Everybody,

I've tried to download this torrent player, and all this torrent shit, but I don't know what the fuck I'm doing.  I know this a pain in the ass question, but I'm missing out on some good videos.  Is there anyone who wouldn't mind explaining this to me in deptly (if that's a word) so I too can watch these shows.  I would appreciate this so much.

a torrent file is a fingerprint of a cd, dvd or what ever the guy/girl that made it wants to share.
when you open it with a bit torrent client it will download all it needs to get the parts that are named in the fingerprint.
your client wil talk to a website (tracker page) to find out who els has that torrent running.
the tracker page wil tell it who has what parts of that audio cd, dvd or what ever.
your torrent client will contact the other clients and download the files.
all the other clients wil do the same and download parts from you.
so you need to compleet the download first before you can look at the thing that has been torrented.
