John Mellencamp has announced that Farm Aid will be held in Chicago Sept.18. No lineup has been announced yet. This show will be one day after the 14th year anniversary of the Illusions release. Considering that GNR did this event during their heyday, and previewed 2 new tracks at the show, maybe it could happen again. Considering the positive reaction to Live 8, they will need some big names to bring attention to this event.

Great, just like every other award show, festival, and popular event in existence:

"Will THIS be the one that GN'R plays?"

Can't we just wait until the lineup (that doesn't include GN'R) is announced and then do the "Will Axl make a suprise appearance for a duet with _____?"... Those threads always have more interesting replies.

Eazy E is right. Those threads are totally useless.

The Farm Aid thing is almost as ridiculous as the yearly VMA's speculations  Roll Eyes  And since the latest VMA's thread went down the toilet, guess where this one goes?
