Something else that was great about 'old' GNR was their extreme confidence. This came from their faith in their material, and the incredible live shows they did. To me, one of the best GNR qoutes comes from Izzy: "We can blow anyone off the stage, and we know it". The 'new' GNR has none of this. Hyping songs no one has heard doesn't count, and the live shows consist of 90% old material. 'New' GNR has no cohesiveness as a band whatsoever. The only proof that the band exists is various shows in 2001-02, Oh My God, and a partial song leak. Take away those 3 things, and we're back in 1994. What has went on in 1994-2005 is not what GNR was supposed to be. What happened to the originality, the controversy, the risk taking, and the 'us against the world' mentality? Apparently it went out the window that Izzy jumped out of in 1991.

Should Guns N' Roses be in the Rock N' Roll HOF? Hell yeah!  Cool

Will they actually be inducted? 50-50. Undecided

As has been hinted at in this thread... the HOF is run like the International Olympic Committee... and I'm just not convinced that GN'R will have the requisite PR army and will be unified enough amongst themselves to pursuade the voters that they should be in.

However, perhaps it's actually more Rock N' Roll NOT to be in the HOF. Maybe Guns N' Roses' better legacy is to be the bastard stepchild of rock... the band that had arguably more talent than any band in the HOF but was incapable of realizing it because of their own appetite for destruction.

Irregardless, Guns N' Roses is a legendary band and Axl and Slash are rock music icons that will be referenced and discussed for as long as people play rock music.

If the HOF thinks they can get them to reunite for their induction they'll definitely put them in.  The ratings would be through the roof.
