"Ain't It Fun"

« on: June 27, 2005, 10:44:54 PM »

I'm looking to purchase 1 or 2 shows from the VR concert bootleg collection (from eBay).
If anybody has any bootleg shows that kick ass and they would recommend to me, thats cool. If there's any highlights from that particular show that make it different than the others, feel free to shine a light on that as well.
BTW the show btw on May 20th 2005 kicked ass so if anybody has that show on DVD/VCD and likes it, let me know.

Thanks,
MNR

I have one VR bootleg, it's from Kansas City May 14, 2004.  It was a great show, quality is excellent, kicked ass!!!!!   It was the only one they had of VR right now on the site I get my boots from.

The Rockford, IL show had Weiland confronting a crowd member & an encore of "Surrender" with the guys from Cheap Trick. It was also when they were playing DLT, YGNR, & the "Wish U Were Here" cover, so it's a full set as well.

I think they are releasing an official DVD next week... The show is older though and the setlist was kinda weak. I like the newer shows with Superhuman and Dirty Little Thing........ Anyway, if you find a good one let me know.. I am always getting boot sand stuff off ebay...

That's right, especially for New GNR, if it wasn't for the boots, none of us would have heard any of the songs hihi

Yes we did totally rock out to VR, didn't we Kiss

Yes, you going to MSG hearing the new songs at a concert is great but you really wouldn't be able to fully take them in without hearing them again or at least a few more times to really appreciate them or not.  I hope it's not the last show, I need to make up for that one I missed.

If you have some stuff to trade there are sites where people list their shows for trade. You can build a collection rather easily and A LOT cheaper than buying off e-bay. Some (nice) people will even help you get started by doing b+p. Several years ago (4-5) ebay was a good way to get started. Now, things have changed so much  that it should only a last resort, IMO.

Thanks Gunners for the help!

I just put in an order with Robindeluc for 30 GNR bootlegs DVDs (1986-1993) FOR $200. Im definitly looking forward to that because I never had the privilege to see Axl on stage in his greatness. Its money well spent cuz trust me, nothing in rock n' roll ever beat the glory GNR days
But I did see Slash at that show 3.20.2005 and I'll say again "he's still got it". I hope to gett off on some of those VR shows. I will buy 1 to start and who knows, it could turn into something akin to GNR, especially since Duff is at his peak now.
