Does anyone know if any of the songs on CD are going to be acoustic? We hear about these different songs for CD but no one says what types of songs they are. Did any of the few people who have heard parts of CD ever mention an acoustic element to the album? Has Buckethead done any acoustic material on his solo albums? What about Robin?

While I admittely have absolutely no idea, my bet is there will not be any purely acoustic songs on the record.

How could anyone possibly know the answer to that question, given the secrecy surrounding the album. Even the band members have no idea what is going on.

I hope that there will be some acoustic songs on it, just so there's a break or two from the heavier stuff, just to mellow out to.

Yes, it would be very cool, but who could actually answer that?

Honestly after all this time i could care less whats on the album, cause its been such a strenious wait that anything they could give us at this point would be great. They could kick out all the members of gnr and the whole album could js be Axl and Dizzy blowing each other while an orchestra play classical music......

and Id be happy to purchase that fine piece or artistic material.  peace

I don't know about acoustic stuff but one thing that Chinese Democracy must have is a top ballad like don't cry. It is powerful. The Blues is heavier than Don't cry and not for that cause. In 2005 everyone forgets Guns N' Roses, even songs like Paradise City, Sweet Child o' mine but noone forgets Don't Cry.  Wink

Are you being sarcastic?
If you polled 100 music fans and asked them to name 5 GnR songs, I doubt any of them would mention don't cry. Not that I don't like it, but plenty of people forget about don't cry, and for good reason because it's not that memorable.
Regardless, I feel there will have to be at least one great ballad on the CD, besides the Blues.
