Slash didn't wear one for a long period of time because his hats were consistently stolen. Ok, so he might've had one "special" hat, but he certainly hasn't worn it for the past 15 years. Nor did he wear it during any gig as those are obviously the ones that got stolen all the time.

I posted this in the VR section, and I thought it was bologna at first. But since we know that he has indeed invested in several similar top hats throughout the years, someone else mentioned that maybe he reserves the original for special occasions, such as the Grammys. I'm still lost on the whole 15 years bit, when if I'm not mistaken, he's had the original since '87 or even '86.
