At a guess i would estimate at somewhere between 10 and 20 thousand worldwide.  Its a superb album but is pretty difficult to get hold of.

It is hard to get a hold of unless you have the Internet, which everyone pretty much does these days. Amazon.ca, .com, .co.uk, etc. all have copies for pretty cheap. Mine took 2 days to get to me. I also ordered one through my local store (A&B Sound) for a friend and it took about a month. So if you do want it, you can get it, and for cheap. The only problem is there's little or no marketing for it, just because that's the only way you can get it.

By FAR, it is the best album I've heard all year, and I have a feeling the best I will have heard for some time. I also picked up the Perfect CD, which is not as good, but if I never heard VGH I would probably love it just as much.

Good work Tommy!

Aaron.

if you judge it by its quality it should have sold 20 million.  I really love that cd.

It's a great disc, but yeah probably 8 - 10,000 sold.

20 million? It's good, but 20 mil would make it one of the 10 or 15 bestselling albums ever. It's excellent, but not monumental - I doubt it was ever supposed to be. It's just good rock music.

I would say around the same figures, except maybe a little lower, maybe 5-10 thousand copies worldwide. I dont think Tommy even remotley recorded this album to sell a few million though, if he did the album would be marketed far more but I think he just loves music and creating it and if he sellsone copy of his album then thats fantastic. I ordered mine through HMV and it took me a month to get finally after $28.99! Probably the most expensive album Ive bought all year but probably one of the best.

Mysteron has been proven too many times right and that he does indeed have connection to the GN'R management.

However, that doesn't mean that he HAS to answer all of your questions. People have jobs to do. Imagine if Merck answered every silly question of every member of this board and all the other boards. He's not only managing GN'R you know, they have many bands in Sanctuary. Plus, he's now the whole group's CEO.

And maybe they don't want to reveal the number for marketing reasons. Who knows?

Its not a silly question really.
I find it funny how he can say how Tommy will be doing all these shows but then cant get a simple figure on Tommys album

I got mine at Best Buy too.  In Slidell, Louisiana of all places (sub. of New Orleans).  They only had one copy.  Same thing at F.Y.E.
