Picked up the CD Mother's Milk by the Chili Peppers the other day, there's a track on there called 'Punk Rock Classic'  - it's quite a good song, and it ends with the beinging of Sweet Child O'Mine  Cheesy

/thought i'd share that info  Wink

Yep. I had the album when it came out in 89. I figure like so many other "alternative" bands of the day, the Chilis were taking a swipe at GNR and their pretty love song. Jelousy, I presume.

Really? I had no idea John was a fan of Slash back in the day. I havn't heard this song or any off this album for that matter because I got into the Chilis later in their career.

yep, he sure was! check out the booklet of the Mother's Milk album next time you're in a recordshop. ok
this album is not much like the other 80s albums they released, was kinda like a step away from the "cartoon funk" they did in the 80s and a step towards Blood Sugar Sex Magik, pretty good album!
it was also the first album with John and Chad Smith. peace
