Ive heard alot of the new guns n roses stuff.. the live stuff at least... and its come a long way from the AFD days.. even far from Use your illusion, but its still good which seems very weird.. Madagascar is probably the best song ive heard, it seems like axl still has it live anyways.. but im sure the recorded and editted version will be flawless.. what u think the best newer song is?

Contrband was released this year.. it reached high rankings on the charts.. so lets say GNR releases its album in "febuary" ok.. do you think their will be a rivalry between the two bands? do you think that GNR will do better than VR because of the name itself? whats your opinion?

The MMM inside the band on GNR sucked balls.. it was all about velvet revolver and was completely one sided.. i know axl caused the breakup but fuck man i wanted to at least see or hear from axl.. what a waste of an hour..
Didn't see it. But the fact that you don't hear from Axl leads a lot of fans to the assumption that the side of the story they hear, is how it all went down.
How many songs could have been #1? hmm pretty tied up? civil war? Rocket queen? hah.. im sure almost 80 percent of GNR's songs could have been played on the radio and been hits.. considering they play a wide variety types of music... i mean they go from guitar to piano.. whats not to like.. man axl even rapped a little (live)...
Not sure whether any of the others would have made it to #1. But I'm sure a few songs could have been a hit. Rocket Queen you mentioned probably yes.
GNR over-rated? or under-rated? you tell me.. i think they were under rated in the top 500 songs of all time.. and i think nirvana gets alot more credit than they do.. nirvana has anough songs for one greatest hits album.. i could make 3 GNR greatest hit albums myself. GNR is and was and always will be better... no matter what... no matter what anyone says or kurt wanted nirvana was bigger and everyone liked them even though he didnt want them to.. 5 out of 10 people i ask know GNR.. 9 out of 10 know nirvana.. hmmmm ...
I don't think they are over rated or under rated generally. Although AFD deserves to be in every top albums of all time list. IMO it is the best rock album of all time.
As for the Nirvana stuff, dig through the old pages, or check the Dead Horse section. We've had enough GN'R v Nirvana and Axl v Kurt debates to last a life time.
Izzy leaves the band? the end? is that what lead them to the path of break up? did he hold them together?
The end.. to some people I guess it was the end of an era.. but the end no. I guess some of the contributing factors of Izzy's decision were probably similar to some of the other member's decisions. Did he hold them together? Well they kept on going for two years of touring after he left..
And whos the guy in dont cry video? why didnt he stay with band.. only thing i never knew.. was he there just to replace izzy for a short period?
Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon. Died of an OD in the mid 90's. Just a backup guest vocals thing for that song.
