I was listening to some izzy and the ju ju hounds yesterday and suddenly i realised how much i would love it if axl participated in that alboum. So instead of comparing nu vs old gnr or slash vs axl or falling to pieces vs the blues etc this is what i wanna ask u: what particular songs from the ex members (recorded after they left guns) do you think that could be taken to the next level if they were recorded by the original gnr?

For example i would love to hear shuffle it all performed by gnr. I think that axl would do a marvelous job on piano and background vocals and i can picture slash in my mind nailing the solo!!!

just my 0.02 peace

i'd like to hear slash play on just about everything izzy has made. there are dozens of songs that are just screaming out for slash to rip it up on.

I think the best songs off of Gilby's Pawnshop Guitars and The Hangover in one album with Axl, Slash, Duff etc would have been a very credible mid/late 90's GN'R album. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading that an additional reason that Gilby got shown the door in '94 was that Axl had his eyes on more than a few of the tracks on Pawnshop Guitars for GN'R, and he was pissed when they turned up on Gilby's solo album.

"RIDE ON"!  That Izzy tune would be perfect for Slash to solo on.  It's an underrated, straight-up rock 'n' roll track that would be a great bluesy rocker for GN'R to play (and let's face it, they could use one).
